Yesterday I returned from a week long course at John C. Campbell Folk School. The course work involved learning the technique of using gesso and colored pencils on metal, which was most enjoyable. Marriage of metals was another technique that was covered and we laughed and said most of our pieces were married and divorced. I successfully married brass, silver and copper. Barbara Joiner, the teacher, did an awesome job teaching. We worked long hours in the studio throughout the week and I was tired by the week's end. The week was wonderful and I was so glad to have experienced it.
The following picture is of one of the brooches that I made using gesso and colored pencils.
