Hope all is going well with everyone. Just to update those that read the news in regard to my work. Much of my jewelry is sold at a gallery, Taylor P O, in Taylor, Mississippi. It is located just outside of Oxford (home of the University of Mississippi). Recently I learned that one of the Southern Living Homes is being built in that little town and the expectation for visitors is around 20,000 over 3 or 4 months. I am excited but thinking about the demand on inventory. It will be a fun challenge.
Also I have just signed a contract to teach beginner silversmithing at John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina during the spring of 2009. It is a great place and I am looking forward to the opportunity. Their motto has to do with passing it (knowledge) on and that is a great theme. Much of what is taught at the school has been handed down from one generation to the other.
I love all aspects of metal and glass work and this will be a great opportunity to share with those starting in metal or those wanting to learn something new.
Kindest regards to all!
